Nubia Vargas-Chen, MD
Pediatrician
Dr. Vargas-Chen is a graduate of Universidad Militar Nueva Granada in Colombia. She completed her pediatric residency at The New York Flushing Hospital Medical Center. She is a fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics and a board-certified pediatrician. She has been a clinical assistant professor at Hofstra University and Stony Brook University. Her medical interests are in preventive medicine, innovation, and technology in the medical field. She is a Lieutenant (R) of the Colombian Army. Dr. Vargas-Chen is a creative baker, cookie and cake decorator. She resides in Long Island with her husband and son.
Daniel Freidman, MD
Pediatrician
Daniel Friedman received his B.A. in history from Stony Brook University and his M.D. from St. George’s University School of Medicine. During that time, he performed medical research at New York Medical College and Stony Brook University. After completing his residency at Long Island Jewish’s Schneider Children’s Hospital, he joined Park Pediatrics in Floral Park, New York. He is assistant clinical professor at the Northwell-Hofstra University Medical School, where he trains medical students, nurse practitioners, and interns, and residents. He is the co-author of The Strange Case of Dr. Doyle, and the editor of Thermoheat: Weight Loss Revolution. In his spare time, he is a singer/songwriter and bass guitarist with the Friedman Brothers Band, lead vocalist for New Jersey-based Ignite the Atmosphere and contributing author for comic book magazines, Sherlock Holmes and Jack the Ripper journals, and history-based magazines. Daniel Friedman is also a charter member of Allied Physicians Group.
Eric Levene, MD
Pediatrician
Dr. Levene grew up on Long Island. He obtained his undergraduate degree in Mathematics from Franklin and Marshall College and received his medical degree from the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine. He completed his residency at Long Island Jewish Hospital where he then continued for one more year as Chief Resident. Dr. Levene lives in Armonk with his wife, Marla, and two children.
Jennifer Colamartino
Office Manager
Jennifer spent her childhood in Flushing, Queens before moving to Long Island in her teenage years, where she still resides with her son who attends Adelphi University. She attended Nassau Community College and has worked in pediatrics for over 25 years. She enjoys yoga and spending her summers in Wading River.
Bruce Gerberg, MD
Pediatrician
Dr. Bruce Gerberg has been practicing pediatric medicine for 22 years. In 2020 he relocated to Duke University where he practiced pediatric urgent care medicine for 1 1/2 years. Dr. Gerberg returned to Huntington, NY after realizing how much he missed his friends, family, and patients. Dr. Gerberg was born in Queens, grew up in Venezuela, and moved back to the States where he attended high school and university. He speaks both English and Spanish fluently. His medical interests vary from urgent pediatric procedures and emergencies, ADHD, depression and anxiety, nutrition, and working with children with special needs. Dr. Gerberg completed his residency at Schneider’s Children’s Hospital (now Cohen’s Children’s Medical Center) and stayed on as Chief Resident before starting a private practice in Huntington. Dr. Gerberg served as Chair of Pediatrics at Huntington Hospital for 5 years and remains involved in the pediatric hospitalist program. Dr. Gerberg lives in Huntington with his wife Nicole and 6 children. In his spare time, he loves to spend time with his family going to the beach, playing ball, and enjoying all that Long Island has to offer.
